The Authority of Scripture

Mojave Christian University affirms that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for faith, doctrine, and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17;  2 Peter 1:20-21). Scripture serves as the final authority in all matters of theology, ethics, and Christian life.

The Nature of God

MCU affirms belief in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-equal in essence, power and glory (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Lord of all things. 

 The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Sun of God, fully divine and fully human.He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary.Lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of humanity. (John 1:1,14; Isaiah 53:5-6) (1 Peter 2:22-24).Christ rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory (1Corinthians 15:3-4 ). 

Salvation

MCU affirms that salvation is the gracious work of God, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Human beings are justified by grace through faith, not by works, and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit unto new life in Jesus Christ ( Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9-10 Titus 3:5). 

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerates believers; indwells, sanctifies and empowers them for holy living and effective service (John 16:8-13; Romans 8:9-11; Galatians 5:22-23).

The Church 

The Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers united by faith in Jesus Christ. The local church is called to worship, discipleship, evangelism, and service, advancing the Gospel to all nations (1Corinthians 12:12-13; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42). 

Christian Education 

We affirm that education is inherently spiritual and that Christ is the source of all true wisdom and knowledge. Therefore,  all academic endeavors must be grounded in a biblical worldview. Christian Education seeks to train the whole person - intellectually, morally, and spiritually - for service to God and humanity. (Proverbs 1:7; Colossians 2:3; Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

Statement of Purpose

The challenge given by our Lord is for laborers, men and women who know how to reap the spiritual harvest fields of the world for the Kingdom of God. It is to this purpose that Mojave Christian University is dedicated to recruiting, training and motivating our students to become Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries and Teachers of the good news of the Gospel.  

We reserve the right to teach, train , and operate according to our sincerely held religious beliefs without interference  from the state, provided we do not violate public safety, morality, or peace. ( Acts 5:29;  Galatians 5:1) 

Mission Statement 

The mission of Mojave Christian University is to provide accessible, biblically faithful theological education and Christian leaders training for pastors, teachers. Missionaries. Evangelists and lay leaders. Through structured academic programs MCU equips students to serve the church and the word with integrity, wisdom and devotion to Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 4:11-13). 

Vision Statement

Mojave Christian University envisions a global community of Christ centered leaders who are theologically grounded, spiritually mature and actively engaged in advancing the Gospel through faithful ministry and lifelong learning. (Matthew 9:37-38; Philippians 1:6).
